ABOUT INTELLIGENT LIFE MAGAZINE:
Q. What is Intelligent Life?
Intelligent Life is a bi-monthly lifestyle and culture magazine from The Economist. It covers the arts, style, food, wine, cars, travel and anything else under the sun, as long as it’s interesting. It shares The Economist’s fondness for crisp prose, dry wit and free thinking. But rather than covering politics and economics, it is about life in general and making the most of your time off, from tailoring to museums, hotels to philanthropy, choosing wine to going green.
We mix our Economist writers with leading authors such as A.S. Byatt, Julian Barnes, Douglas Coupland and William Boyd. We talk to interesting people from Philip Pullman to Zaha Hadid. We have regular columns from Tim Atkin on wine lists, with photography and illustration to match the elegance of the writing.

Comment of the moment
quote "Serendipity on the internet? One day I google "sprezzatura Yeats" and I end up on a blog about Hannibal the Carthaginian by Andreas Kluth of The Economist. It's sharp and funny, and I start to think that The Economist might be about more than just (ugh!) economics. What do you know? Just a few clicks on The Economist website and I land...on Intelligent Life. Serendipity. Sprezzatura."
